Our Vision

To connect through education to advance understandings and actions in relation to environmental and sustainability issues across all communities and education sectors.

President’s Message

Welcome to the Australian Association for Environmental Education Website.

My role as President, along with the Executive and Natasha, our Association’s Administration Coordinator, is to understand and respond to members’ needs.

Our Association aims to achieve a more sustainable future and positive environmental outcomes through education, engagement and capacity building.

The national Executive is made up of members from the states and territories in Australia. Our Association’s revised strategic plan is working across: Advocacy and Lobbying, Communication, Governance, Member Services, Partnerships and Professional Development.

Our members are a diverse group of people who work and volunteer across many environmental organisations, agencies, business and industries.

Our website is a key communication tool for our members, supporters and people in the community interested in environmental education.   It includes information on events and professional learning, resources and contacts.

I encourage you to be active in your chapter or Special Interest Group (SIG) and to communicate the shared benefit of membership with peers and colleagues and ask them to join us.

Yours in environmental education,

Mark Caddey
