Applications are now open for the AAEE 2018 Conference Brian Foreman Scholarship.
The Brian Foreman Scholarship was created to assist a member of the AAEE to travel and attend the biennial conference, this year being held on the Gold Coast from 21-25 October.
The Scholarship is to be used to attend the AAEE conference and covers the costs of registration, travel, and accommodation expenses up to $1,000.
The successful applicant will demonstrate financial hardship that does not allow them to attend the conference without support. The application should also outline how you might exemplify Brian Foreman’s legacy to environmental education in Australia - a hands-on approach to environmental education, an infectious enthusiasm, a capacity to inspire and lead and an ability to work with all of the community.
Brian Foreman was a founding member of the Association in 1980 and his work in South Australia is legendary. This award is in recognition of Brian’s contribution to environmental education in general and to AAEE in particular.
Applicants are invited to submit a one page submission to AAEE before the deadline of 3 June.
Your application should outline your current role in environmental education and why this professional development opportunity would be beneficial to your EE career and how AAEE will benefit from the experience.
The successful applicant should have willingness to write a post conference report, for publication in the quarterly member newsletter, ozEEnews.
