17 year old Sancia Bingham’s design prototype was selected as the winning design in the AAEE Tasmania inaugural Waste Not! Design Challenge. Sancia from Hobart, impressed the judges with her recycled fresh produce bags. As winner, Sancia has won $1000 worth of professional mentoring and in consultation with the AAEE Tasmania WasteNot! Team, Sancia will select a mentor to help further develop and market her product.
The winning entry will also be featured in the City of Hobart & Resource Work’s Art from Trash Exhibition at the Long Gallery Salamanca from 24 May to 4 June. The exhibition is open daily to the public and is free.
