We are a diverse, values-driven community united by a belief in the power of education to shape a more sustainable future. EENSW supports education for sustainability by connecting and strengthening networks, championing professional learning, and amplifying the voices of educators across schools, councils, government, NGOs and industry. For over 30 years, we’ve helped influence policy, curriculum and practice. We support environmental educators to lead meaningful change across NSW.

Current activities & opportunities
We work to connect practitioners, build capacity and amplify the role of environmental education in NSW.
Key programs & events include:
Hosting networking and capacity-building events.
Keeping members informed through a regular e-magazine and e-newsletter.
Coordinating the NSW Environmental Educator of the Year Awards and the Gould League Scholarship.
Managing collaborative projects such as the Regional Sustainability Educator Networks Capacity Building Project.
Developing state-wide frameworks and policy.
Advocating on behalf of members through submissions, representation and sector leadership.
Managing the NSW Sustainable Schools program, connecting school educators with resources, learning opportunities and a supportive community.
