Member Referral Competition 2026
Membership is central to the work we do to promote environmental education across Australia, growing a thriving and more ecologically minded society.
2026 Referral Competition
Know someone who would love the work we do? Invite them to join our community of environmental educators!
When you refer a friend or colleague who becomes an AAEE member between 4–18 November 2026, you’ll both go into the draw to win a Professional Learning experience of your choice.
Three prizes are up for grabs, with each prize providing a Professional Learning experience for both the existing member and the newly referred member.
How to enter
Spread the word: Invite a friend or colleague to join AAEE.
- Complete the referral form: Fill in our short online referral form below during the competition period (4–18 November).
- Your friend/colleague joins: Your referred friend or colleague must complete the AAEE membership registration process by 18 November 2026 (11.59pm AEDT).
Once both steps are complete, you’re in the draw!
Terms
- Both steps must be completed to ensure you’re in the draw to win. If a referred person joins, then the referring member must submit the above form.
- There is no limit to the number of people you can refer. The more people you introduce to AAEE, the more chances you have to win!
- Are lapsed members eligible? Yes, if your membership has lapsed you can rejoin to enter the draw. Referrals can also be made to lapsed members.
- Competition closes 18 November 2026 (11.59pm AEDT)
- Individual and Organisational memberships are all eligible. Organisational memberships go into the draw for one Professional Learning experience, its up to the organisation who they nominate internally to attend.
What’s up for grabs?
Three lucky member pairs will each win a Professional Learning experience in 2027 of their choice, with one place for the referring member and one for their new member.
You do not need to attend the same Professional Learning series as your friend, you will each receive a code to use in 2027.
Our Professional Learning program offers a range of options, from individual workshops to multi-session series. Each prize is valued between $80 and $300 per member, depending on the selected program.
Competition dates
4–18 November 2026
It’s a great opportunity to bring someone new into the AAEE community, share professional learning and help grow our network of environmental educators.
How winners are selected
At the end of the competition, three winners will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries. Each successful referral counts as one entry, so the more people you refer who become AAEE members, the more chances you have to win.
Winners will be announced at our AGM and National Awards Ceremony, and referral codes emailed directly to winners.
RSVP to the AGM here Thursday 19 November 2026, from 7pm AEDT.
Our work is funded via membership of hundreds of environmental educators like you. Those environmental educators are our members, everyday educators who care deeply about ensuring our society is connected to and knowledgable about the earth that sustains us.
